K V Muhammed gurukkal the propounder of gurukkals, started practicing and studying Kalari under Kadathanad Chandran Gurukkal since the age of fifteen. Being a Kalari gurukkal his objective was to assuage the agonies of the suffering by enhancing their capacity to resist disease and attain cure by the system of traditional ayurvedic Kalari marma treatment.

PREPARATION OF MEDICINES
Medicines to be administered on patients are prepared as per yogas, recipes at the medical centre itself. Which are mentioned in thaliyolas (palm leaf scripts). All preparations at the hospital are made in conventional methods without any modern machineries to ensure 100% result and satisfaction. Most of the plants used for preparation are cultivated in our herbal garden. Verdant collections of herbs adds more beauty to the institute.
HERBAL GARDEN
A garden of more than 100 medicinal herbs is another attraction of the treatment centre.This includes a lot of rare and priceless herbs which plays vital role in the medicines prepared at the hospital.Herbs have many values but a few of the most common uses include aromatherapy, medicinal, as seasonings and flavorings in foods and beverages, and in salads.It is also a way of conserving Rare, Endangered and Threatened species of Medicinal Plants.
ANTIQUE GALLERY
A museum had to be established for the public and the future generation to understand the rich heritage of kalari as well as kalari marma chikitsa. The items such as kalari weapons, thaliyola, books, kalari costume, poojadravyangal, abharanangal, angachamayangal, poothara, guruthara, etc. must be displayed at the museum using sculptures and visuals. It must also comprise models and visuals of all the martial arts.
Utmost Patient Care
We treats the body holistically based on ‘ 96 dehathatwas’ diagnosis at present isa very complex process ,where different tests xray,scanning,are used .But in the Kalari system , nadi chikilsa was prevalent from time immemmorial.In the ancient system, certain amount of pressure is employed on the external vital points representing different internal organs and thus diagnosis is done.specially the ’64 kulabyasa marmas ‘ are dealt here.
